Neil Padbury is an experienced bonsai presenter and demonstrator<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Shibui Bonsai owner Neil Padbury is an experienced bonsai demonstrator\/guest speaker and workshop presenter. He has presented to and run workshops for a number of bonsai clubs including the Bonsai Society of Victoria, Wagga Wagga Bonsai Society, Canberra Bonsai Society, Australian Native Plants as Bonsai, the Wauchope Bonsai Group and more recently in 2025 the “Bombala Bonsai Buddies” group and the Bonsai Federation of Australia Northern Inc. “Bonsai by the Harbour” event in Sydney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An accredited Association of Australian Bonsai Clubs tutor, Neil has more than 40 years experience in growing bonsai and is a life member of the Albury Wodonga Bonsai Society, of which he is currently President. His early mentors included Neil Saffin and Ron Anderson from the Bonsai Society of Victoria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also runs workshops for beginners and more advanced bonsai growers at the Shibui Bonsai nursery in Yackandandah, North East Victoria where he specialises in producing pre-bonsai stock including root over rock, field grown trees and more recently pre-bonsai suitable for Shin and Mame bonsai. He has also explored growing Australian natives as bonsai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
